Heritage Lottery funds Made In Tredegar for new history project!

We’re pleased to announce that our new history project has received funding!

Supported by the National Lottery through the heritage lottery fund, Rebuilding History: Uncovering secret histories of the buildings of Blaenau Gwent, will uncover personal stories from members of our community about buildings with a historical importance. From the Tredegar Medical Aid Society, and the former Town Hall, to the Steel and Ironworks sites, the communities of Blaenau Gwent has an abundance of history on their doorstep just waiting to be discovered.

Project manager, Alan Terrell said: “Thanks to National Lottery players, our community film studios can document these wonderful buildings and preserve their history for future generations.”

The twenty short films, featuring buildings from around Blaenau Gwent will receive an online premiere at the end of March 2021, before being made available to view online and on DVD.
