The Tredegar Trails – About the Walks

The Tredegar Trails are a series of six interactive audio trails in and around the Historic Town of Tredegar.

How do the Trails work?
1) First collect your map(s). These are available free of charge from a number of locations around the town. The current list is below. Alternatively they can be accessed direct from the website here.

2) You will need a smartphone or smart device and access to the wi-fi signal. Android devices will need to download a QR reader. (These are free ‘apps’ that can be found in the app store.) iPhone users can use the camera app on their phone.

3) Using the maps provided, carefully walk to the locations. Hunt for the QR code located nearby. It will look like one of these:

4) Scan the code to access the audio recording.

5)Work your way around all the locations on the trail to discover the rich history of Tredegar!

This trail looks at the heavy industry that came into Tredegar from the North. Experience the spectacular views and walks along disused tram roads, railways and quarries around Tredegar and beyond.
